Hotel Ecclesia

We had a great time at hotel Ecclesia. The neighborhood was quiet, and it was an easy walk to the train station and supermarket. The rooms were very clean, and the service was kind and polite. There are also washing and drying machines and a microwave for guests. I'd come back to enjoy the service again.

I stayed here before it changed its name, and it's still the same nice hotel. It's really handy for Nijo Station, a konbini, and a sushi restaurant. You can choose a regular room or a Japanese-style one with a futon. I went with the futon room. It has a sink, separate toilet and bathroom, and coin-operated laundry, which was really useful. I'd definitely stay again.

The location made getting around easy, with a supermarket, Lawson, 7-Eleven, the metro, and JR all nearby. We found the room relaxing and comfortable, with enough space for four people. The restrooms and shower were especially good, roomy by Japanese hotel standards. I'd never used electronic check-in before, but it was straightforward. Staff can help during working hours if anything comes up, though even checking in yourself is nothing to worry about. Great stay for a group of three or four. For me, a perfect 10/10.

A quiet, homey neighborhood, restaurants and convenience stores close by, and just a short walk to the station made the location feel spot on. The place was spotless, and staff were friendly and helpful at check-in. Since it's self-check-in, remember your entrance passcode because staff aren't always in the lobby. I stayed a few nights with friends and thought it was a hidden gem, a solid 10/10, even if it isn't as popular as other places. I also liked that part of the earnings goes to a share house for single mothers and supports employment for people with disabilities.
