The building is very close to a subway station. Our unit was spacious, comfortable, and clean when we checked in. It had a little fridge, stove, washer, and a small drying rack. There’s no daily cleaning, but you can get a clothes dryer, detergent, cookware, and other handy things in the lobby for small fees.

We spent 3 days at Hotel Rejoice Stay Kyoto Karasuma Oike and would happily return on another visit to KYOTO. The room felt like a Japanese apartment, only roomier, and was a bargain for its size and closeness to the Train station. It was quiet while we were there, and the staff were kind. Just across the street is a LAWSON, with YAYOIKEN right next to it, serving cheap, tasty Japanese dishes and all-you-can-eat rice.

The subway entrance is right there, and the front desk rented us bikes for a great day out. The rooms are enormous by Japanese standards. Really great stay in Kyoto, couldn’t have asked for more.

It felt more like staying in an apartment than a hotel room, with lots of space and clean rooms. The staff were really helpful. They even put on guest events, including sake tasting and a Mario kart championship. Great place to stay.

You’ve got pretty much everything here, including a washing machine, laundry soap, and bike rentals, so it’s easy to settle in. The staff were very good and professional, and spoke English.
