Ikoi Hotel

Hotel SHE, Kyoto felt stylish, warm, and full of character, and the team made us feel welcome and looked after during all four nights. We especially liked the evening drinks and the cozy bar that stayed open until 11 PM. The hotel also put on music one night, which added to the atmosphere. It's not right in the city center, but being near the station made getting around Kyoto easy. We felt at home here and would recommend it.

We stayed four nights in a twin room, my cousin and I, and found it really relaxing. The staff spoke English and chatted with us a bit. Breakfast had a California inspiration and was small, just enough to get the day started. After checking out the next morning, we were still welcome to sit in the lobby before leaving for the airport. We had ice cream in the lobby the night before as a little farewell. There's also an onsen next door. I'd suggest this place to anyone looking for a relaxed hotel stay.

We had everything we could've wanted here. The room was clean and bigger than average, and the location was great, fairly close to the train station. The staff were kind and helpful, and even looked after our luggage after checkout. We'd happily come back anytime :)

We came with family, and the central location was nice. The rooms seemed in line with Japanese standards. What made the stay difficult was the hot water: during the winter, the hotel couldn't provide hot water in the room and instead gave us a ticket for the onsen. I was also unsure whether the sheets were clean.
