KABIN Koji

The bed felt a bit hard, and I found the pillows impossible. There isn't much room for two people with two suitcases and cabin backpacks, either. Still, it's clean and easy to use, in a quiet spot near good places to eat and shop, with convenient access to roads and stations. The lively center is walkable, and being able to leave luggage before check-in or after check-out is a useful service. I'd recommend it for a short visit with hand luggage.

The room at Kabin Koji was just right, with thoughtful amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste and tea. The crew were kind and helpful throughout, and everything felt well cared for. It's also easy to get around from here, with a subway station and bus stops close by. We had an amazing stay and will come back here next time for sure. Thank you for everything, see you soon.

I got to reserve Koji Studio for an afternoon while staying at another Kabin hotel, and I'm so glad I did. I often book places with kitchens, but this one was better equipped than any I've found before. The kitchen was beautiful and really comfortable to cook in, and everything was new or well maintained. The knives were sharp, the chopping boards were wood rather than plastic, and there was a convection oven. I also didn't have to buy salt or oil, which I really appreciate as a traveler. I made a lovely dinner with friends using local ingredients in Kyoto. As someone who loves cooking, finding this option on my trip made me very happy. 🥹

We really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were bigger than what you usually get in Japanese hotels, and the service was friendly, with lots of international staff who speak English. It's in a great spot in central Kyoto.
