The staff were friendly and the place had a relaxed feel. They open at 8 AM, which was great for grabbing breakfast before heading out to explore. The latte was really smooth, and the eggs and bacon hit the spot.

Had a simple, filling breakfast and a really tasty filter coffee. The banana bread was fresh and soft, just right. I'd definitely come back here for breakfast.

The French toast was a treat, and the matcha and lattes tasted great too. We ordered that along with the classic breakfast, and everything was cooked just right with quality ingredients. I'd definitely recommend it.

The people here made me feel at home right away, and this is easily the best hostel I've stayed at in Japan. The rooms are clean, roomy, and comfortable. I also loved the cafe area, especially the coffee and bacon and eggs. For me the location was spot on: close to Kyoto's busy, popular areas, but tucked away enough to come back to somewhere peaceful. I'll tell my friends and family to stay here, and I'll be back!

We stopped by the café, which shifts into more of a bar in the evening. They stop making coffee after a certain hour, and although the bartender was happy to try, the machine was broken. The drinks we had instead were very good, then we headed on.
