The onsen in the basement is amazing, but it only has hot water. The room is a little worn and definitely showing its age. Still, if you want a ryokan experience and don't mind the room aesthetic, it's amazing. It also works as a hotel, since the location gives you plenty to do. You're a short walk from a major shopping hub, though you'll need to walk a bit from the nearest bus or subway stop. That's just my personal opinion.

We had a fantastic, authentic Ryokan experience thanks to the staff at Mikihan Ryokan. Both dinner and breakfast were fabulous.

The room was huge and clean, the service was fantastic, and there was a large amount of delicious food. Very recommendable.

A very traditional japaness style hotel. The seasonal dinner served in the guest room is a must try.
