Miyabi Cosy House

There’s a small kitchen with a decent microwave and one induction cook top, along with the standard amenities. The location is great, just five minutes from the South entrance of Kyoto station, though you do hear some train noise. The upstairs staircase is steep, and taller people will need to duck under a beam that runs through the middle of that floor. It’s a clean, neat little place with rooms upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs room sleeps four, using space about as efficiently as you’d expect in inner-city Japan.

A lovely place tucked into a picturesque little alley away from the traffic, yet conveniently close to Kyoto station. Miyabi was a great host.

Smelly.

The room had a faint wood scent and was Japanese style, with lots of space on the second floor. The bathroom was very large, and the beds were big and comfortable. I’ve stayed in other guesthouses with tatami rooms for four, but this one felt much larger. Once the beds were laid out, four people could still spread their suitcases flat and walk around without trouble. It’s very close to the station, shopping mall, shopping street, and department store. Highly recommended! 👍👍
