The rooms were really clean and traditional, which made staying there an interesting experience. There are lots of nearby attractions, so it's convenient for sightseeing. One thing women should know: I couldn't use my straightener or curling machine, which was a bit of a problem for me.

A lovely, traditional Japanese house, very clean and recently renovated. It's in central Kyoto, right next to the kyomizudera temple.

Breakfast and the delivered coffee were both delicious, and I came away very satisfied even though my stay was short. It was fun to look closely around the room. The renovated interior blends old and new nicely, and the practical layout feels true to the old house's character. It's a little tricky to find, but tucked between two still-in-use houses with the same design, it made me feel like a local in Kyoto. I recommend it!

Since it's close to subway, bus, and Keihan Railway stations, getting around for sightseeing is convenient. It's a whole-house rental and a good option for families. It seems to be used often by foreign tourists.
