I really enjoyed staying here. The building has a traditional style and the rooms were clean. The staff were so friendly and kind, with lots of tips on where to go and eat around Kyoto.

The rooms feel worn. Some interior doors are hard to close, and the paper sliding window doors have lots of holes. One of the Wi-Fi routers had a very poor connection, and I couldn't find the second one mentioned in the booklet. The shower boiler is small.

The staff were nice and the location was good, but the beds were awful. They weren't even proper futons, more like covers for outdoor dining chairs.

For a good price, you get clean traditional rooms, friendly staff with decent English, and a super relaxing onsen. The location was nice too.

The walls are so thin that every noise from the other guests' rooms comes through. It gets really annoying, especially when you're trying to sleep.
