Piece Hostel Kyoto

The common area was probably my favorite part. There’s a big kitchen with a fridge, freezer, sinks, hobs, cutlery, and tableware, plus free coffee and tea. Plenty of comfortable seating made it welcoming and easy to chat with other guests. There were even Macs available to use for free during the stay. The hostel was very clean, had all the amenities I needed, and the staff were kind and sociable. The price was so affordable for the quality that I had to double-check what I’d paid. I’d come back to Kyoto just for this place, and couldn’t recommend it more.

The location made getting around Kyoto easy, right by Kyoto Avanti and Kyoto station, and the staff were what I liked most. Ken was especially warm and thoughtful, always ready to help and really went out of his way to make the stay great. The whole hostel was kept very clean, and I never felt uncomfortable. The elevator happened to be out of order while I was there, but staff helped carry luggage upstairs and offered two free drinks, so it wasn't a problem. I'd definitely recommend Piece Hostel to anyone visiting Kyoto for the first time.

I liked having the espresso machine for my morning coffee, and the staff were really kind and helpful. Yamato deserves a special thanks for sharing a list of cool local neighborhoods to visit. Those suggestions became one of the highlights of my Kyoto trip. The place was clean, and although I booked a six bunk bed room, I think the mixed four bunk room would've helped me sleep better. This is a simple hostel for resting after a full day out, not somewhere fancy. I'd stay here again when I come back to explore Kyoto.

The free espresso was a lovely extra, and the hostel is really close to the station. Staff were kind, and there were plenty of bathrooms. I especially liked the powder rooms and their great hair dryers. The beds were comfortable too, with a choice of different pillows. We had a very enjoyable stay.
