The house is beautifully renovated and well maintained, and the host answered most of my questions almost right away. We stayed three nights as a family and had a great time. The famous Yasaka pagoda street is just across the road, with cute shops and restaurants close at hand. It combines modern comforts with a traditional Japanese house. There are bidets, a large bathtub, a walk-in shower, and floor heating in the bathroom and bedrooms. The rooms can be opened into one another or separated with sliding doors. The only downside is that the walls are thin, as is typical of traditional Japanese houses. Highly recommended!

We had a very clean, spacious traditional-style Japanese home, within easy reach of many important tourist spots. I’d definitely recommend it for a traditional experience.
