A great way to try traditional Japanese living, with tatami floors and futon beds, while still having modern amenities. Very good place, highly recommend it.

They checked me in at the main building at 8 AM and brought all my bags to the room. I was really grateful for that. It meant I could start sightseeing in Kyoto early, and I had a very satisfying stay. This whole-house rental also let me enjoy the city as if I lived there. I stayed two nights and three days this time, but next visit I'd like to make it five nights and six days. Thank you so much.

The tatami room had a lovely traditional Japanese feel, and the roomy layout would fit three or four people comfortably. It was easy to get around from here, with Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Kawaramachi Street both within walking distance. The house is down an alley, but taxi drivers found it quickly, so that wasn't a big problem. Convenience stores and drugstores nearby do take a bit of a walk to reach.

I got around on foot to places including Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Gion-Shijo, and Kyoto Station. Ebisu Shrine and Yasui Konpiragu Shrine are close by too, and easy to walk to. I'd recommend staying here.
