Ryokan Inakatei

The rooms are small but furnished well, and the location is perfect for budget accommodation. There's a great breakfast, a Japanese bath, and historic Koyoto right on the doorstep. This is based on what I expected from the property, and I'd definitely stay again.

A delicious breakfast made by the owner and traditional Japanese bathtubs in the bathhouse made this a peaceful, relaxing stay. Our room was large, bright, and beautiful, with a balcony looking over the pretty garden. It's a wonderful historic old house. I'd love to come back.

We enjoyed a private, traditional breakfast during our stay. Such a wonderful experience in kyoto, with a beautiful location and great hosts. I'd definitely recommend it.

The rooms are cosy and the bathroom is very clean. The bath itself is small, nothing special, but fine for washing off after fraternising with the other “tattooed gangsters” who patronise this old establishment. Be ready for toothbrush, toothpaste, and fresh yukata galore, plus questions about when you're coming and going and your finances. A blessing, really, since it's so close to % Arabica and bus stops to get pretty much anywhere on the planet. A great place to pay your respects and dues to your fellow “tattooed gangsters”.
