Saka Hotel Kyoto

I stayed one night to try the private onsen, which could only fit three people. The rooms were really clean, and they offered lots of complimentary amenities, including hair and face serums and face masks. The Japanese breakfast was tasty and filling.

The staff were courteous, respectful, and polite. The hotel is close to shrines, places to eat, and shopping. We enjoyed both meals, with multi-course options for breakfast and dinner. A great place for traditional culture and food. Highly recommended.

The location was incredible, the food was amazing, and there were so many gifts and special touches. Thank you so much. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at, and it went beyond all my expectations. It should be five stars.

Breakfast came with the stay. It tasted fine, though it didn't stand out compared with other ryokans and hotels I've tried. The price was high because of peak season, but my parents enjoyed the experience, and I'd love to return to Kyoto. The location is right in the heart of Kiyomizudera, one street away from the busy tourist area. Sannenzaka, Ninenzaka, Gion, and other spots are an easy walk away. Our room wasn't huge but had enough space, including a tatami area for an extra futon for the three of us. There was a nice hot bath with sake provided. They left tea in the room, plus rotating daily snacks that were also sold in the shop downstairs. The third-floor lounge had free coffee and light snacks, and the lobby offered free beer during happy hour at certain times. The staff were excellent, friendly, and attentive. Check-in was easy, with welcome tea and time to settle in. In the room there was a Nespresso machine, teas, free bottled water, yukata, and sleepwear. There's an elevator, but some stairs remain, so ask about that if mobility is an issue.
