We enjoyed it enough to add another night. The rooms are compact, but nicely designed with Japanese touches, and the place was peaceful and clean. Staff were friendly too. I liked being a little away from the main attractions. There are good local places to eat, and transport makes it easy to get around. After seeing the spots people call the main attractions, I thought staying off the usual tourist path was better, since those places felt overcrowded and touristy. My one complaint was the terrible WiFi. I’m sure they’ll sort it out at some point.

We were happy with the place for our five-night stay. The rooms are small, but we only came back in the evenings, so it wasn’t an issue. Everything was very clean, and reception staff were helpful. The washer and dryer were easy to use, and public transport was easy to reach.
For the quality, this hotel is very affordable. Staff are helpful, efficient, and provide excellent service. Getting to different parts of the city is convenient from here. The room has what you need, including a kettle, microwave, and full kitchenware. Good value for the money.
We loved our stay at Sakura Kyoto Suzaku oji. The rooms and hotel were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully set up, with everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable, there were plenty of towels and room amenities, and the shower was great. The shampoo and conditioner smelled lovely too. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. The kitchenette was handy when we wanted to cook, and there’s laundry service on site. Transit, shops, restaurants, and grocery stores are all close. I’d definitely recommend staying here!
A quiet, cozy place in a great location. The rooms are very small, though that’s what I expected for the price. There’s a no-shoes rule in the room, free tea and coffee at reception, and a 7 Eleven and pharmacy right on the corner.
