Rinn Kiyomizu Gion

Getting around from TRinn Kiyomizu Gion was easy, with places to eat, get coffee or ice cream, and historic spots all close by on foot or by taxi. SAGAN is a nice breakfast option about a five-minute walk away, since the hotel doesn't serve breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, with a coffee machine, kettle and other useful equipment. The bathroom was clean and roomy enough, with a shower and the essentials. The entrance is nicely decorated, and the friendly staff were helpful with restaurant bookings and other questions. I’d recommend staying here.

The staff made our Kyoto stay even better. They were warm and helpful with our questions, and arranged to forward our luggage to our next stop in Osaka. The hotel’s location was great, with many nearby places less than a 10-minute walk away. Our room was also very good and a comfortable size. Thanks for such a nice stay.

We stayed three days and had a wonderful time. The place was a good size, smelled lovely and had everything we needed. It’s quiet, yet only about a 10-minute walk to the tourist area. The lobby staff were super friendly. I’d happily come back.

The separate bathtub and shower were a nice touch, though the bathroom itself was small. Our deluxe queen room felt cramped too, with little room for large luggage or clothes, and only a few hangers. The windows didn’t let in much fresh air, so the room could feel claustrophobic. The air conditioning stopped working for a while in August, which was annoying, but the reception staff fixed it helpfully. The location is good, a short walk from central Gion and about 10 minutes from Gion-Shijo station. For the price, the hotel was about what I expected, but the rooms were basic and small.
