The owners were incredibly kind. The man carried our luggage upstairs, which we hadn’t expected, but my friend had bought far too much and was very grateful. When he handed over the room keys, the owner showed us a map and pointed out the basics. There’s a list of recommended things to do in case you don’t have an itinerary or your plans get cancelled. Breakfast is put out in the morning, nothing fancy, just fruit and croissants, which was enough for us. The location worked well. The bus stop is less than a two-minute walk away, and the subway station is maybe three or four minutes on foot. A convenience store and grocery store are within walking distance whichever way you go, and there’s also a Kura sushi nearby if that’s your thing. They only accept cash in yen, so keep that in mind when booking. The bathroom was lovely, and there’s a washer. It rained during our stay, but when the weather’s dry you can hang your laundry outside on the patio. There’s roof access, too, with a cute surprise. You can sit up there in the evening and look out over the quiet town. I’d absolutely recommend it and go back.
