We had a really relaxing time in Kyoto, helped by the cozy location on an inner road, just steps from a Michelin-starred restaurant and beside a river where we saw ducks swimming freely. Tea and coffee were available for self-service. We were given the only room with an outside garden adjoining its exterior doors, and it was truly spacious and comfortable. We’re so grateful for the owners’ kindness. They were the most hospitable, graceful, helpful, and generous people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting in Japan. Thank you very much!

The space was peaceful and welcoming, and everything about the stay felt easy and comfortable. The hospitality was outstanding. It’s a great location, close to everything and just a one-minute walk from the station. Sincerely, the Scoles family. If you’re exploring this area, stay here :)

Our rooms were amazing, very spacious, with nice balconies looking out toward the adjacent river and hills. We were allowed to check in early, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel sits in a pretty, peaceful part of Kyoto, yet it’s close to public transport, top-end restaurants, several c-stores right nearby, and everything else. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in recently, highly recommended.

We found some really lovely restaurants around here, though it’s worth booking ahead. The hotel is in a quiet but well located part of Kyoto, and it was easy to reach the main areas. We walked everywhere, but buses and the metro are options too. Rooms were comfortable and a good size, and the staff were friendly. We loved staying here.

The rooms are pretty big by Japan standards and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great spot near gion, bus stops, and a subway station for getting around kyoto.
