The place feels cozy, and the room is really big. I drove there and appreciated the free parking. The meals were wonderful, simple and tasty. It’s a traditional setup where the rooms don’t have their own toilet or bathroom. That was fine with me, and I enjoyed trying this old style.

There’s convenient public transportation nearby, and the price is reasonable. It’s a traditional Japanese hotel with a room large enough for eight tatami mats. There’s no bath in the room, but the shared large bathtub makes it easier to relax.

The plan came with rice and alcohol, and we had a luxurious dinner with fresh sashimi. The toilets and baths are shared, but if you’re okay with that, it’s a lovely place to relax. ☺

The location is excellent, and Maizuru is a fun town to explore. The inn was spotlessly clean and deeply relaxing. Staying there brought back how enjoyable a traditional Japanese inn can be, with delicious food and time moving at a slower pace.
