Tokachi Nauman Onsen Hotel

We loved the dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and the hotel itself is comfortable, with an interesting concrete design. It’s an easy walk to the water park and nauman museum, and there’s a hike up to the hill overlooking Churui. The outdoor baths and volcanic water were lovely. One of our favorite onsens in Tokachi.

The water left my skin feeling smooth, and I liked having both hot and cold rotemburo.

It’s always kept very clean, and the new outdoor baths are a welcome addition. Nice hot spring.

I went for a day spa♨️ and could get in from 5am. On the way back my car ran out of gas, and I’d only stopped at the gas station to kill time, so the gentleman at the front desk and another bather kindly pointed me toward the nearest one. The open-air bath was unusual, with a cold bath and a regular outdoor bath, plus a jacuzzi, sauna, and a tub that was just the right temperature. Being outside in the cold felt great. Once I’d warmed up, I wanted ice cream, and the lady at the front desk showed me how to make it. I squeezed my own black vanilla ice cream😝 and it was delicious.
