Hotel Ichibata

In the morning, you can watch boats gathering clams on Lake Shinji from the hotel, which has a great lake view. It’s right by Shinjiko Railway Station and the bus station. The rooms are new, clean, and luxurious. Other than the staffing at the large bath being inaccurate, it’s generally a good hotel and worth recommending.

The location is great, but we wouldn’t return. The hotel seems new, everything was clean, and our room was spacious with a big shower. We also liked the onsen: it was well kept, the water temperature was pleasant, and the outdoor area looked out over the nearby lake. But the room was unbearably hot. The AC didn’t work, and opening the window didn’t help. The front desk said they couldn’t adjust the temperature and had no fans, so we’d have to put up with it. My wife and I didn’t sleep at all that night. When we first went down to breakfast, they turned us away because my wife was wearing sandals. We stayed one night while traveling through the area.

My favorite part of the trip was the panoramic spas on the 6th floor. The hotel staff gave excellent service, and the views over the vast, peaceful Lake Shinji are spectacular. Breakfast is a must, especially if you can eat while looking out over the lake and waterfront. ❤️💯

The buffet has a wide selection for both breakfast and dinner, and the onsen is spacious. My room was comfortable and well equipped, with a lake-facing view that alone would bring me back. It’s a modern hotel with impeccable service.
