Hanagokoronoyu Shintomitei

The Kashikiri Onsen was so relaxing, and we had a stunning ocean view from our amazing room. The location was lovely, and the staff treated us really well. I highly recommend staying here.

The breakfast was excellent and gave me plenty of energy for the morning. I also loved the view from the room. The room was a little old but clean, and I booked this place partly to experience the charm of a traditional Japanese room. The tatami bed was comfortable enough for me to sleep right through the night. Staff were friendly and gave very good service. The hot spring was acceptable. Don’t miss this hotel when visiting Matsushima.

We were impressed by the care the staff showed our family, from the front desk through to the breakfast room. We couldn’t speak English, but they did their best to make us and our young children feel welcome throughout the stay. A special thank you to the shuttle bus driver, who I think was Kubo-San, though I’m not completely sure. He was exceptionally kind and welcoming. Huge thanks to the staff for such thoughtful service.

The Japanese-style room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the amenities were in excellent condition. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was well prepared, and the staff were helpful. It’s a lovely hotel for families. The location is worth the extra cost, about a 10-minute walk from both the train station and the downtown docks and shops.
