The service was thoughtful from the moment we arrived, and the buildings blend into the natural setting. We found the food incredible, too. The outdoor onsen had wonderful views of the autumn leaves, and there were several gender-separated indoor and outdoor baths to choose from. It was a surreal, deeply relaxing hotel stay, the best we’ve ever had. 100% recommended!

My family left something behind after checkout, and the manager kindly shipped it to our next hotel. That was a lovely end to a memorable stay. The onsen, rooms, staff, dinner, and breakfast were all top-notch. It’s the best onsen experience I’ve had. Thank you, Yamamizuki team, for the wonderful memories with my family!

We spent two nights at this magnificent hotel, and the whole stay made us feel like royalty. The bedrooms were so comfortable, while the staff were incredible and the food was astounding. What stayed with me most was sitting in the soothing baths early in the morning or late at night, watching the sky, the river beside us, and the trees moving gently when there was a breeze, or standing still when there wasn’t. The onsen were a revelation. The hotel is in an idyllic location, and the experience was amazing. It’s a five-star stay, no doubt.

It’s an extremely quiet, relaxing place, and the staff are warm and welcoming. The room with its own onsen was a luxurious treat, especially on a winter morning. There are also numerous public onsen baths, which added a lot to the visit. I highly recommend this ryokan.

The forest view was so peaceful that I even saw a wild deer come near the river to eat. The onsen were incredible, and the food was great. Staff were friendly and professional throughout. This was an incredible Ryokan in one of the best onsen towns I’ve visited. 100% recommended.
