We came to Tanegashima for the first time, my son and I, to visit the JAXA Space Center. Being nearby made it easy to relax after our visit, and the lovely beach was also within walking distance. Breakfast was coffee, bread, yogurt, boiled eggs, and bananas.
I only booked this place because it was the sole option available, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable. There aren’t shops nearby, so I stopped at A-Co-op in Minamitane town before checking in. The cafeteria equipment is apparently available for guests to use. In the morning they put out free bread, bananas, yogurt, and coffee. The sandy beach is close, and there were surfers out with their kids from early in the morning. Wi-Fi was great. The washing machine was free, the dryer cost 100 yen, and there was a shared refrigerator and a microwave.
The beach is only about 30 seconds away. There’s a big dining room with all the equipment we needed, so on days when there were no other guests, we had a barbecue. I’d like to stay again.
The tatami mats were rock hard! Breakfast was a good spread, with pins and bananas. I also borrowed a surfboard and went to the beach.
The room was clean and had been renovated.
