The owner and family were very kind and helpful. The lodge is a three-minute walk from Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort, and there's a drying room for ski and snowboard gear. Breakfast and dinner are available too.

After 16:00, there's a large hot pool where you can relax after skiing, plus a drying room near the entrance for your gear. Breakfast was thoughtfully made and enjoyable. This is a clean, comfortable place run by a family who give friendly, attentive service. It's a bit far from the main station, so having your own transport would make things easier.

The lodge is clean and tidy, with lots of parking, and the family running it are very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely come back to this great local place in Echigo Yuzawa. My room had an ensuite, and there was also a clean, tidy shared bathroom in the onsen style.

We stayed in February with six friends and could barely lay out our futons in the tiny room. They accept dogs, but that didn't feel pet-friendly at all. Dogs can't walk around inside the hotel outside your room, so if you have a big one you have to carry it on the stairs. Otherwise, you get a cold look. It was okay if you had no expectations and didn't mind that they don't even turn on the entrance lights.
