I stayed for a week with five adults and three children aged 9-12, using Ishimaru House as a base to explore nearby ski resorts. It suited us perfectly. The house is charming, comfortable for our group, and combines western amenities with a traditional Japanese feel. It's easy to walk to a supermarket, restaurants, the free shuttle between resorts, and a ski lift. The place was clean, neat, and functional, and the hosts have made it feel homely rather than like a bare hotel. We cooked several meals there and had everything we needed. Natsu was the highlight. She was incredibly generous and accommodating, helping us many times, saving us money and time, taking hassles off our hands, and making our stay much richer. Highly recommended for families needing a base in the area.

We enjoyed the scenery around the house and visited family in a nearby town. The owner was welcoming and helpful, and the house itself was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We also ate at the restaurant by the house. My family and I will be back.
