Business Hotel Awaikeda Eleven 2

It’s a bit of a trek from the station, though there’s a local bus that helps. The staff were lovely. At check-in they took things slowly and patiently while I struggled with my Japanese. Breakfast was good too.

We paid 14,000 for a twin room with breakfast, which seemed reasonable. The hotel is pretty remote, but handy if you’re passing through, and we stayed here for a visit to Forest Adventure, about 40 minutes away. The staff were polite and helpful, and really made the stay. Our room seemed to have been renovated. It was mostly clean, spacious, and looked out over the river. Breakfast was nicely presented and better than I expected.

The parking was spacious and easy to find, and you can pick either a Japanese or Western breakfast. They ask what time you’d like it when you check in. This is a business hotel where you leave your shoes at the entrance. We stayed in the annex, which meant lots of stairs, especially on the first floor, and getting around in slippers. Keep that in mind if you’re concerned about your footing. Amenities are set out by the front desk, and there’s no toothbrush in the room. The ventilation fan was surprisingly loud when running, though quiet when switched off. You can also hear voices in the hall and doors opening and closing.

I’m usually bothered by smells wherever I stay, but this hotel had no odor at all. It had been renovated, and everything was very clean. I had a really pleasant visit and will definitely come back.
