The staff were excellent, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were a bit larger than in most business hotels. A taxi to or from Moriyama Station was about 1000-yen.

I was staying in Shiga Prefecture and had booked a non-smoking room, but there was a slight cigarette smell. The front desk manager kindly moved me to another room. The next morning I had breakfast at the Chinese restaurant next door. I ordered the Eight Treasures set meal, which felt like a heavy way to start the day. The owner listened to the radio and sang in Chinese while cooking. The dish came out soaked in oil and gave me heartburn. I couldn't eat it and left without touching anything. The hotel also serves breakfast, so they should think of something else. The Eight Treasures was inedible. The hotel said the parking lot was large and shared with the Chinese restaurant, but spaces were limited and it wasn't that big. Traffic on the road in front of the hotel was congested from 5pm to 6:30pm, making it hard to get in. For reference.
