I could hear every sound from the corridor and elevator in my room. If you’re a light sleeper or want some peace and quiet in your room, this place may not suit you.

The luggage room at APA Nagano actually looks like a proper storage area, unlike other APA hotels where suitcases end up crowding the lobby. It’s a straightforward hotel about 10-15 minutes from Nagano JR Station and roughly the same distance from Zenko-ji temple. My room was a decent size and had the usual APA supplies. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We didn’t try breakfast. There’s self-service laundry and a parking lot. A good stay.

The rooms were just right, with a comfortable bed, a nice comforter, and decent space. More than that, every member of staff went out of their way to help me each day. From arrival through checkout, I was treated with real care and respect. The service was impeccable, and I can’t say enough about how well the staff looked after me. Special thanks to Yamazaki, Nein Chan, Tajima, Oohino, and Sakai. I highly recommend APA Nagano to anyone visiting Nagano. I’ll definitely return next time. An excellent stay in every way.
