The price is cheap, but the room is tiny, the shower has no privacy, and the AC doesn’t work very well. The owner is very traditional and spends a long time explaining all the rules in detail. He also keeps messaging every couple of hours until you reply. It drove me crazy.

The station is less than a 10-minute walk away, and I appreciated being allowed to leave my luggage in the room early in the morning. But the place felt far too expensive for what it was: a cramped mixed dorm with four bunk beds, barely any space, a tiny kitchen, and a shower in the room screened only by a curtain. With two other male guests there, I didn’t feel comfortable showering. The check-in process happened in the room while another guest was sleeping, without much concern about waking him. The boss seemed nice at first, but he kept whispering that I was “cute” and “very charming.” It made me really uncomfortable, so I left quickly and avoided interacting with him again. That behavior felt creepy and unprofessional. I don’t know how a setup like this is even legal, especially in Japan.

The room was very warm thanks to the heater, and you can adjust the temperature yourself. It also felt secure, with each tenant given one key for the front door and another for the room, and guests are strict about locking up when they come and go. There’s a kitchenette, shower, two sinks, a little closet and a toilet, but the room is small and there isn’t much room for luggage. The price also seems high compared with what the same money gets you in Tokyo. It’s a guesthouse room with two bunk beds. Another guest snored louder than anyone I’ve ever heard, but I’m leaving that out of my rating.

The host was nice, and the place was clean. It’s close to the station and has a kitchen.

There’s a SeiYu supermarket nearby that’s open 24 hours, and the boss is really nice.
