First Cabin Nagasaki

The staff helped me sort out a tour booking and rent a motorbike, even though I had no Japanese number and knew no Japanese. They guided me through it until we got it handled, which mattered a lot since those outings were a big part of my trip. I stayed a week and got so comfortable with everyone, it felt like seeing old friends. My room was comfortable, with fresh towels daily, warm water, decent soundproofing and good AC. Cleaning was included if you asked for it. I was really glad I spent my first Nagasaki vacation here, and would recommend it 110%.

Everything needed was provided, including towels, soap, a toothbrush and a robe. The capsule had a TV and radio, with headphones available to borrow at the counter. The in-room locker was on the right side, though it was too small for a large bag. It's a hostel with shared public showers, so there aren't individual shower cabins. The rooms, common areas and surroundings were clean, and the staff were really friendly. Also, there's a very handsome guy at reception, go see for yourself.

The cabin was comfortable, spotless and quiet, and the women's area uses card access. It's an easy few minutes on foot to the tram, food spots and shopping, with plenty of tasty affordable meals around. Good value and much better than most hostels. I'd happily return to first cabin next time I'm in Nagasaki.

The shared areas were really clean, and I was glad to have some privacy in my room. They're separated by screen doors, so sound does carry, but that's hostel life. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the location worked well, close to a 7/11 and izakayas open late. I'd stay again.
