Nagasaki Baishokaku

The road up to the hotel worried me. It’s steep and a bit narrow, so please drive carefully. Inside, the room is spacious and very comfortable, with a great city view and all the amenities provided. It’s old, and the cleanliness is acceptable. I liked the onsen, sauna, and the skin and hair care bar there. The front desk staff gave their best service, and I have nothing to complain about. Thanks for the top knotch service.

You can see all of Nagasaki from the hotel, and the view is beautiful. I’d like to give the place more stars, but management hasn’t kept up with the property: wallpaper is peeling in the hallway, and our room had a bunch of stains. The food at the kaiseki meals was just okay.

My mom got dizzy in the public hot spring, and a young woman at the front desk helped us right away without hesitation. I really appreciated her help. I think her name was Aikawa. Everyone was so nice, including the restaurant staff. The room was large and Japanese style, and the night view was amazing. They serve and present the food beautifully, and it tasted good too. Even my kids loved it. We stayed last October this year, and I’d give the hotel five stars.

We had a lovely old-style ryokan room, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were fairly good. The views of Nagasaki are beautiful both during the day and at night.
