Hotel Resonex Nago

The room had enough space for the three of us, and the toilet was an okay size. I stayed for two nights with my parents, and we all loved it. The building is old, but the view was lovely, and breakfast was great. The front desk service was okay, though they didn’t speak much English. Breakfast service was great, and parking was free. I’d recommend this hotel.

That view over the beautiful water is incredible. The room, though, is very dated: the bed is extremely hard, and there was only one pillow. The carpet was stained, and the couch had a cover over its rips. I also found a dead cockroach beneath the chair. There’s a stovetop, but no pots or dish soap.

We left the next day and booked somewhere else. The room in the auxiliary building smelled bad, and the air conditioner didn’t work. When we went back to reception and showed our booking, which clearly specified a sea-view room and included a photo, the staff kept asking whether we had booked based on pictures. They laughed about the situation. The manager and reception staff were terribly rude and stuck to their story. At check-in, they couldn’t find our reservation among that day’s printed bookings. Once they finally sorted it out, they said the main building was full and offered us a room in the auxiliary building as a free “upgrade” to a sea view, even though that was what we had booked in the first place. I’m completely disappointed by the staff’s service and behavior. For this kind of treatment and accommodation, I’d give a score of zero. The worst experience ever, and I’d never recommend this hotel to anyone.

One thing I liked was the idea of having dinner with a romantic sea view at sunset. The day I visited was cloudy, but I believe the sea could look clear and deep blue in good weather. The room was a little old, and nobody had cleaned the windows, which made the sea view very blurry and disappointing. The mountain view was excellent, though. The corridor they built is outdoors; you can see it in my attached photo.
