The room felt worn out and dirty. Calling it “vintage” seemed like an excuse to avoid renovating. The walls were so thin they sounded like cardboard, and cars on the nearby street seemed to be driving right past them. The bathroom was very old, and with no shower curtain and water leaking, there was no way to keep the floor dry. The owner wasn’t particularly friendly, and we felt almost like intruders.

The nearby park and its beautiful beach were the best part. The room felt old but cozy and lovely. There was parking, though it wasn't easy to park.

I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't served and we hadn't been told in advance. The room was clean and nicely renovated, and the atmosphere was pleasant as described, though the shared area felt cluttered with things on the counter and sofas. The owner was spending time with her own friends in the common space and didn't seem interested in mingling with or talking to guests, which left us feeling isolated.

We had a pleasant, inexpensive two-day stay in a beautiful, cozy place. The host was very kind, and the beach was within walking distance across a wide park. As we'd heard, the shower pressure was weak. It was hot throughout our trip, so we were glad the air conditioning was already cooling the room when we arrived. We'd stay again on a return trip to Okinawa.

We could walk from the hotel to the beach, and the food and service made this a lovely place to relax. It has a mix of U.S. 60s and 70s decor with a modern twist. Owner Itsky Suzuki is a fabulous hostess, and her French pastry skills come from her time in Paris. It's best to call ahead or book online.
