The staff were especially helpful when I had trouble with a locker. They were friendly, spoke English and Japanese, and sorted it out quickly and professionally. The capsule hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the 5g connection was cool to see. For the price, it was a really nice stay, and the station is less than a five-minute walk away.

It was a fun experience, but I probably wouldn’t do it again, especially since it doesn’t cost much less than a regular hotel. The place was clean and comfortable, and your valuables feel secure. Still, be ready for shared bathrooms, even though they’re very clean. The pod doors can’t close all the way for safety, so you may hear people snoring. You also feel awkward making noise, and need to put your phone on silent or vibrate.

Only two private showers is my one complaint, though there’s also a large public bath with showers. Otherwise, this is a very clean capsule hotel and good value. It’s central, a 5-10 minute walk from the station, and quiet. The staff were very accommodating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean. The cabins did get pretty noisy while I was there. It seemed to be used mostly by salarymen staying a night or two in Nagoya for work, and they get up very early, so mornings were a bit loud.

For a traveler on the go, this works well: sleep, shower, and head out. Plenty of Japanese business men seem to manage just fine that way. If you want a roomy hotel and room service, a capsule hotel isn’t for you. I had a fine stay, everything was clean and well kept, the staff were professional and seemed bilingual, and the common areas were bright and relaxing. For the price, I can’t complain, and I’d stay again if I needed to. My first capsule hotel stay also came with a couple of hassles. I couldn’t put a block of rooms under one person’s name, so I had to check in at each room in person. I was in town for a comedy show and had to check in before going. They also required my gaikoku zairyou card instead of a driver’s license. I’d give the overall experience, for cleanliness, speed, location, and accessibility, five stars, but three stars for each of those check-in issues.
