Almont Hotel Naha Kenchomae

The room was tidy, though quite small. We booked through booking.com, which suggested a double room for one adult and two children, but there was no realistic way for three people to sleep in that bed unless the kids were newborns. We had to upgrade after seeing the room. There weren’t many power sockets either. In one room the socket was under the TV, far from the bed, and in the other there was just one on one side of the bed. The area is quiet and you can walk to the Main Street.

Google points to Asahibashi Station, but that’s the wrong stop. Get off at Perfectural Office Station instead. There’s a lift, which is handy with big luggage. From Asahibashi you’d have to walk and climb over bridges before reaching the hotel.

We picked Almont Hotel for the final few days of our Okinawa islands trip mainly for the location, and were glad we did. The double room wasn’t spacious, but it was comfortable. Getting to and from the airport on the monorail was convenient, and the staff were so kind and professional.

There’s a public bath on the 12th floor, and the lobby has free drinks available for a limited time. The hotel’s in a handy spot near a bus stop with routes to the airport and other destinations. The rooms are nice, though some are pretty small for two people.
