Gala City Hotel only 5 mins to Kokusai Street

We'd happily come back, and I'd recommend this very Japanese, family-like place to people I know. There aren't many reviews, so I can understand having doubts, but I don't think there's anything to worry about. It's a self-service hotel with hardly any staff around, and getting in touch with them can be difficult. That didn't bother us, though, because the stay was so good. The room has a little fridge, a microwave, a small bathtub, and a balcony overlooking the monorail. Each floor has shared trash bins, which are emptied every day. It's handy to take rubbish out yourself without going downstairs or asking anyone to come in and clean. There's a water temperature control by the bathroom door, so you can turn it up for hotter water. The air conditioning is comfortable and you can set the temperature yourself. Getting around is easy. Kokusai Street and Ryoma Department Store are close, as are plenty of izakayas and restaurants. There are three different convenience stores, Lawson, 7-Eleven, and FamilyMart, within a five-minute walk. The Naha Bus Terminal and the North Exit Bus Terminal of the Prefectural Government Building are about 5-10 minutes away, so major sights are convenient to reach.

The only small downside was the traffic noise from cars speeding on the highway between 11 PM and 1 AM. Otherwise, the location is handy, with the tram stop about five minutes away, a drugstore nearby, and both 7-Eleven and Lawson's within two minutes on foot. The room was clean and tidy, with space for two 26-28 inch suitcases and still enough room to walk around.

Getting around is easy from here. Asahibashi Station, the bus stop, and the bus terminal are all very close. 7-Eleven, Lowson's, FamilyMart, Don Quijote, a supermarket, and Naminoue Shrine ⛩️ are within walking distance too. The room was spacious enough for two large suitcases, with a big floor-to-ceiling window and a microwave. It was really clean and had no musty smell, which was great for my allergies. The bed and pillows were lovely, and since it's tucked in an alley, it wasn't noisy. I'd definitely stay again if I got the chance! 👍

We found it handy to walk to Kokusai-dori, and there's a bus terminal nearby. Two department stores are close as well, though one was shut for New Year's. The room was comfortable and quite roomy. We had two 28-inch suitcases, and there was space for 2-3 large ones. The toilet and shower are separate, which meant no conflicts over the toilet or sink. A microwave and small refrigerator were provided. We didn't use the microwave, but the fridge kept our food and drinks usable for several days. The bed was very comfortable. My mom liked the comforter and sheets so much she said she wanted to buy them. It was my first time in an apartment-style hotel. I wanted to be near the monorail, and this worked out well. The price was moderate, the room comfortable, and transport convenient.
