The place was very dirty.

Having a park right beside the place was a plus for me. I even washed my face there in the morning, and the location itself is definitely good. Still, coming from the station, you pass plenty of other hotels, so whether this one is the right pick is debatable. Before deciding, look through the photos people have posted in their reviews. The reviewer mentions basic things like having a private room, but after seeing the outside and inside for myself and staying there, I was surprised by how far apart their idea of acceptable was from mine, and probably from most people's. Travel does bring surprises, I suppose. What matters most when choosing, the price or the location? I'll let you decide what you make of the photos.

The location worked really well for sightseeing without a rental car. The Yui Rail station, ferry terminal, Tsuji and Kokusai-dori are all within walking distance, which is a big plus. For the low price, especially with accommodation costs rising lately, I can see the value. I stayed two nights in a single room on a weekday. The building is quite old, and the cleaning was only just adequate. My sheets and bedding were clean, but the room itself wasn't especially clean, and there were quite a few ants. There was only a TV and table in the room. The tissue box had one torn tissue left, which made me wonder about someone who seemed to be living long-term on the same floor. The hallway and neighboring rooms were noisy, with no soundproofing. The balcony door could be reached from the emergency exit and wasn't locked, so I'd lock it for safety. Air conditioning costs 100 yen per 90 minutes, up to seven sessions. The remote control was broken, so it had to be operated manually. Only the shower worked in the bathtub, and you had to close the bathroom door from inside to use it. Shampoo and other toiletries had been left there, but I couldn't tell if guests were allowed to use them. For parking, you can stop on the street in front or use a nearby coin lot. Bring money prepared, since changing currency or handling bills seems difficult. Personally, I wasn't comfortable with the other guests, the vehicle security or the room cleanliness. Still, for someone trying to travel cheaply without renting a car, it's worth considering at this price.

The owner was really kind, and being so close to the ferry terminal was handy. For a solo trip, the private room gave me the privacy I wanted, and the clean bedding made the stay more comfortable than I'd expected. It was quite cheap, too. In summer, remember to bring a few 100 yen coins, since the air conditioner costs 100 yen for 90 minutes.
