Hotel Brick

The outside of the building looked nice, but I booked three nights and the rooms left a lot to be desired. The area felt completely unsuitable for families or women. Soap land businesses surrounded the hotel, and I had to pass several on the way to the nearest public parking lot. It seemed more like a love hotel than a regular hotel. The bathroom had a window and pool but no curtains, so people could see in while bathing. The room was a bit dusty and smelled of cigarettes, the toilet wasn't clean, and we felt itchy lying on the sofa and bed. My kids and I were so uncomfortable that we moved out immediately and found another hotel, wasting a lot of money.

The bed, pillows, and yukata were clean, there were five detergents for washing, and the design was cool, with an open bathtub and wooden floor. But there were no staff around, so you deal with a tablet. Its camera showed a black screen when it asked me to take a picture. There was no housekeeping for three days, which would've been okay if the room had been clean. It wasn't awful, but I found one or two hairs in the bathroom and washing machine, even after running the cleaning cycle when I arrived. There was a dry fig, candy, or something in the corner, dust around the AC, and the air inlet above the outside of the door was very dusty. The hotel is in a soap land or red-light district.

There was no front desk or housekeeping. Check-in was through a tablet, and the hotel is surrounded by soap land businesses. If you're male, they'll ask you to come in 24/7.

My husband and I felt so uncomfortable that we stayed at Round One until it closed at 6AM, using the room just to freshen up. I wouldn't recommend this place to a woman traveling alone. You can find nicer places for a similar price closer to Kokusai Dori.
