HOTEL StoRK

We stayed for a week, and even with my partner who’s over 180 cm, we fit in the small room. It had its own bathroom, free snacks, and a beer machine, which was a nice surprise. The location is lovely, though a little toward the edge of Naha, and the staff were amazingly helpful. Loved our stay, tiny room and all.

For over 6,000 JPY a night, you can find a nicer room with a proper breakfast around the same area. The front desk staff were anything but helpful when they got my luggage mixed up. They didn’t apologize and kept suggesting I hadn’t recognized my own suitcase. If I’d had less time, I might have missed my flight.

There are two convenience stores close by, and the hotel kindly offers food throughout the day, along with free coffee and other drinks. It’s across from a shopping mall and the museum, and not far from the monorail station. I’ve stayed here many times on trips to Naha, Okinawa, because the location works perfectly for me.

The guest drink bar and food through the day were a big plus: bread in the morning, popcorn in the afternoon, and udon in the evening. There’s also a large manga collection. Across the street, you can reserve parking for ¥1000 per day. The rooms suit one person well, with an unusual layout that keeps them from feeling too cramped. The bed was a bit hard and the pillow a little flat, though at least it wasn’t one of those awful bean pillows. The toilet is in the shower room, which felt odd, but there’s a curtain to keep things dry.
