The library on the 13th floor has a really good free coffee bar, definitely worth knowing about. The Italian restaurant also served a great buffalo matzarella pizza. Staff at the front desk were consistently helpful, and the hotel is just steps from Kokasai Dori without being noisy.

The location is very convenient, but the room was small, like a typical city hotel. We checked in at 10pm on 17/12 and found nobody at reception, so we rang the bell. A woman came out looking bitter, as if we'd done something to her. Ms Sayama never smiled through the check-in and ignored my dad's question about getting to the airport. The other front desk staff seemed friendly and greeted us whenever we came in. Ms Sayama needs proper training. Even our experience buying things at convenience stores was better, and this was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. It ruined the mood of our trip.

Getting around was easy from this hotel, right beside Makishi Monorail Station and a minute from Kokusai Street for shopping, food, and exploring. Parking is offered for drivers, but spaces are limited, so plan ahead. Breakfast mixes Japanese and Western dishes; the range is modest, though the quality is good and the Okinawan specialties are worth trying. The room was on the small side, but clean, simple, and thoughtfully designed, with a separate shower and toilet and complete amenities. The lobby has a stylish minimalist feel, and staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth. I had an excellent stay at JR Kyushu Blossom Naha Hotel and would recommend it for a convenient city visit, whether it's your first time in Okinawa or not.

We were left exhausted and frustrated after arriving with four pieces of luggage and our rental car following a long drive, only to be told that our booking had been canceled because payment supposedly hadn't gone through. No one had sent a cancellation email or message. We had a confirmation email from the staff, and no warning at all. We booked on September 25th and called straight away to check both the reservation and payment. The front desk repeatedly confirmed the booking under my wife's name and said payment was received. They also sent a confirmation email showing the details. On October 21st, the day we were due to stay, the front desk told us the system automatically cancels reservations after ten minutes if payment fails. Yet nobody contacted us or sent any cancellation notice. When I asked why they'd confirmed it over the phone, that was the only explanation we got. There was a room available, but we were asked to pay 39,500 JPY per night, more than 150 CAD above our original rate. Given the hotel's mistake, staff should at least have honored what we'd booked for. We'd stayed at JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku before and loved the value and service for a 4-star hotel, so we expected even better from your 4-star property in Naha. Instead, the lack of communication, accountability, and empathy caused needless stress and wrecked what should have been a pleasant stay. We won't book with the JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom chain again, and we'll share this publicly so other travelers know there's a real risk their reservation could be canceled without notice.
