Spa & Hotel Resort Furano La Terre

The on-site restaurant was delicious, and the ten-course Kaiseki dinner was a real treat. The older gentleman serving as maitre d' made the meal feel especially special. We also slept well on the comfortable futons in our clean, roomy room. It was a comfortable stay at this little hotel, which has its own onsen and lovely views. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

After snowboarding at Furano, I figured out how to get here by train from Furano station. It's about a 15-minute walk from a tiny station that's more like a railroad crossing. If you have the time, that route works. The onsen was a good-sized place with several pools, an outdoor pool, a sauna, and a really cold pool. I'd never been to an onsen before, so I'd suggest looking up how it works before you go.

My husband and I went to the Onsen for day use and had a lovely time. It cost ¥1000 for both of us. There are several indoor baths, one outdoor bath, a sauna, and cold plunge options. We got to use the outdoor bath while it was snowing, which felt magical. Bring coins for the lockers, and either bring your own towel or rent one. I had tattoos and tried to cover them. Nobody said anything, though I hope I didn't offend anyone.

Please don't use this hotel. It felt like a scam. No matter what we asked for, we never got it, and the handling was horrible considering how much we paid. It was like talking to a robot. The person in charge, DOHI/KITAMURA, was especially terrible. We're a travel agent and have sent many customers there. Once, there was a mistake, and they wouldn't negotiate. Terrible and horrible. Please choose another hotel if you want peace.
