We felt at home as soon as we arrived at Pension Tamiiya〜. The owner had left welcome drinks in the fridge and some rice for us to cook, and even provided charcoal for the BBQ. The house feels warm and inviting, with spaces that have been thoughtfully put together. Such a wonderful stay, we'd absolutely come back when we're in Okinawa again.

A lovely minshuku on Kouri island, in a great spot and well equipped. I'd recommend it for a family group of 4-8 people.

We had a great time stargazing, with the Milky Way visible and very little light pollution. Parking in front was easy, and there’s plenty of room to pull in. The place was super~~~ cheap, very clean, and had welcome drinks in the fridge. The kitchen setup is a big plus, especially if you plan to barbecue. Charcoal, a grill with a brand new rack, a Korean-style grill pan, skewers, barbecue sauce, and all the other needed equipment were there. You just have to buy the ingredients. Taiwanese travelers, go book it!

The quiet was the best part. I've never slept so peacefully while traveling, with no noise problems at the place we stayed. I crossed the bridge twice, looking out at the bluest ocean I've ever seen, and came back feeling refreshed.

We were six adults there in early November, and the whole stay was great. The owner's hospitality helped make it a five-star experience, and we'd happily come back. Everything except food was supplied, from bathroom amenities to a washer and dryer, and the facilities were top quality. Even the covered terrace meant we could BBQ in the rain. Netflix, card games, and Jenga were there too. Thanks! (^^)
