Those duvets were the best part, fluffy, soft, and warm. I slept better here than anywhere else on my trip, and my sleep tracker backed that up. I stayed at the end of my trip before flying out. The location is perfect and very walkable, and Narita city is cute, with plenty of restaurants and bars. It's a great transit town when flying in or out of Tokyo Narita. I'll definitely stay here again.

The day before my booking, someone from the hostel emailed to say I'd set my check-in time for 12:00, even though business hours started at 15:00. I was certain I hadn't chosen a time and had left it as “I don’t know yet,” but I apologized in case I'd made a mistake. They asked what time I'd arrive, and I said I didn't know, but it would be within business hours. I showed up at 15:15 the next day to find the place locked and closed. I called and emailed several times with no answer. To give them time, I went elsewhere and came back at 16:30. Still locked, still no response. I walked around Narita in pouring rain, soaked with all my luggage, trying hotel after hotel. Most were booked, and I finally found a place at 17:00, the day before my flight. I have international calling charges and never reached anyone. My shoes, luggage, and clothes were soaked, and after hiking for 2 hours with a heavy backpack, I was exhausted. The absolute worst experience of my 3 weeks in Japan. Do NOT book here.

Really peaceful, clean, and quiet. The beds were so comfy I didn't want to get up. The place is beautiful and charming. I had a great stay and will definitely come back. Next time I'm in Narita, I'll book here for the whole trip.

I got to the hostel at 23 after telling the owner by email in advance, so that part was fine. Then things went downhill. He said the door closes at midnight and that all sound and light are forbidden in the dorm and common area. I needed to work and wanted to go to a isakaya, so I asked if there was any flexibility. He was rude and said no. I had to go to bed like a 5 year old. The beds smelled bad and were way too warm. In the morning I asked if I could leave my luggage, and he said no. I accepted and told him I'd pick up my girlfriend, then get my bags around 11-12. He said okay, but apparently meant something else. At 10 he texted that he'd put my luggage out on the street and called me selfish for not following the rules. When I asked him to leave it there, he said he didn't care if it got stolen. I ran back and found the bags on the street and the doors locked. He's an unreasonable, rude man. I advise everyone not to stay here. A shame for Japan.

A short walk gets you to lots of restaurants, convenience stores, and one of the most beautiful temple complexes I've seen in Japan. The bus station is close by too. Staff are a sweet, friendly couple, and they have two friendly dogs. If you have allergies, be aware the dogs stay only at the front by the check-in desk. The hostel has a great cozy feel and good amenities. Beds are a little stiff, which suited me, though it might bother others. Some beds look softer, so asking to switch could be an option. It's the cheapest hostel in the area and well worth the price.
