The shuttle made getting to and from the airport easy, and the front desk staff were especially kind and welcoming. They helped me a lot and made the stay feel special. My room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and everything neatly arranged. I also loved the large, beautifully designed mirror for getting ready. Breakfast was well prepared with plenty of choices. It leaned more Japanese-style than I personally prefer, but I appreciated the variety. I felt even better about Narita Gateway Hotel than I expected. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. I’d definitely stay again if I get the chance, and recommend it.

The garden out back was beautiful. One of the restaurants has glass walls and seats overlooking the water feature. There are two restaurants and a convenience store on site, and the hotel is near the airport with a free shuttle. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel itself was lovely. I highly recommend staying here if you’re nearby.

I arrived to find the room hadn’t been cleaned properly, and even though I’d booked non-smoking, it smelled of tobacco. Then there were bed bugs. The front desk staff also weren’t accommodating or pleasant with guests in the lobby. Terrible stay, I don’t recommend it. Book somewhere nicer for your comfort.

The free shuttle from Narita airport was useful, and the hotel has a drinks vending machine and a small convenience store. They sell sandwiches, onigiri, ready-to-eat meals, drinks, snacks, souvenirs, and other things. The building is old, but my room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillow were pleasantly firm. Good value for a long layover.

The airport shuttle is the one saving grace, since the hotel is remote and there’s nowhere to walk for food. The room felt like a trip back to the 1980s, and it smelled old. They really ought to update it. The shower hurt, literally, and the outlet needs replacing. The rooms were average and very outdated.
