Narita U-City Hotel / Vacation STAY 42514

I liked the room’s size and view, and the hotel is conveniently walkable to the train station and a nearby shrine. It had plenty of amenities: a water cooker that seemed to stay on and might be an older model, plus a hairbrush, razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, and towels. The bidet was an older style but easy to use. Staff were friendly and spoke English. For the morning airport bus, you need to tell them in advance, and they’ll let you know when to board. The one-key policy was inconvenient for me: you have to leave the key with staff every time you go out and collect it when you return. That’s a hassle if you’re out several times a day or sharing the room. Still, it was a comfortable stay with a good location.

The room was roomy, so there was space to lay out luggage. It’s near the JR station, and the friendly staff can communicate in English.

The location is excellent, and I’d gladly stay at U-City again if it remains the cheapest option. There are newer hotels east of Keisei Narita Station, but the savings here would be welcome for other parts of my trip. The triple room has three single beds but is the same size as the other rooms, so luggage space is tight. The hotel feels a bit dated, though it’s clean and the staff are very polite. The airport shuttle is convenient, but only runs four times a day in each direction. Since we were the only passengers, I can see why they don’t run it more often.

We didn’t have a reservation, but they still gave us a room. The place is clean and professional, and staff speak English really well. They have smoking rooms, provide yukata, and the showers get hot with adjustable water pressure.
