We were struggling to find somewhere to stay in Yamanashi on a busy weekend when this place came up, and it saved us. It was cheap, nice, and the people were very friendly. It can be a bit hard to find, though, and the directions from booking weren't very good.

We had a great time here and would absolutely come back. It felt much better than the touristy area, with a safe, peaceful village atmosphere. The owners are lovely and will drive you around for free, including picking you up from and dropping you off at the bus station. There's a delicious restaurant, and amazing hot springs about a 15-minute walk away. They use an interpreting app to chat, so we had no trouble talking and joking with them.

This is a good spot if you want to get away from the tourist areas. Be kind to the couple, and don't take advantage of them.

The hosts are so kind and warmhearted. Take the bus and Kawaguchiko is 15 minutes away, but staying here gives you an authentic rural experience. There are onsens about a 20-minute walk away, which I'd recommend too. Super!
