The Key Highland Nasu

The staff were professional, but there wasn’t anything extra about the service. The breakfast and dinner buffets were very small and the food wasn’t very good. The kids couldn’t find anything to eat. For the high price, it didn’t feel like what you see on Instagram, and I don’t think it was worth it.

The food was delicious, and I liked that they focused on a manageable range of cuisines instead of crowding the buffet with too many styles. Staff were attentive without hovering. It’s all-inclusive: pay at check-in and there are no extra charges, so you can eat and drink as much as you like. The room was really nice, with high ceilings, beds, and a tatami room. There’s table tennis downstairs and bikes to rent. Toasting marshmallows by the fire pit was such a cute idea, though I wish they offered it after dinner too.

The food was delicious, and I enjoyed the rooms, the back walking path, and the all-you-can-eat-and-drink setup. The onsen water felt great, especially sitting outdoors in the cool air. The pool was fun too, with three different temperatures. I thought it seemed a little pricey at first, but after staying here I’d highly recommend it. I hope to come back.

One suggestion: make the English signs consistent, since some are in English and some aren’t, which can be confusing.
