A wonderful spot for anyone who loves onsen.

I stopped in for a day visit, and this was my third time because the water quality is so good. It’s disappointing that the private booking slots for the indoor and outdoor baths are only 45 minutes. I wish they were 60.
I visited on a holiday and paid 1,000 yen. It was popular enough that they were limiting entry at the door to avoid overcrowding, and by the time I left the wait had reached an hour. The building feels a little old, and both baths are on the small side. The outdoor one fits about four people. Still, the water is strong and deeply soothing. They often promote the spring quality, and once you’re in, you can feel why. It isn’t strongly alkaline and doesn’t have sulfur or radon, but it’s gentle on the skin and very relaxing.
Somatids are said to be infused throughout the hot spring water, and the food includes somatid rice and shabu-shabu made with carefully selected somatid-infused ingredients. The rooms and other facilities are dated, but clean. A bit more renovation would make the place even better.
My husband, his mother, and I all enjoyed the Somatid Hot Springs. Our skin felt so smooth afterward, and the soak warmed us right through. The service was excellent, and we’d love to return. The meals were generous to a fault for seniors. It’d be nice if they offered smaller portions. Thank you!
