We needed somewhere to stay after visiting Aoshima and the UDO shrine late in the day, before continuing on to Kagoshima. This resort hotel worked perfectly. It's currently off season, so it was very quiet. Since it's a golf resort, the amenities are quite complete, including both large indoor and outdoor pools. Massages are available, and there's a pretty decent-sized kids' play area. Our room was spacious and clean, though the furnishings are dated. It was a comfortable stay overall. One thing to watch if you're driving north from Nichinan town using Google Maps: take exit 31, Nichinan Kitago, and turn left instead of following the app's instruction to turn right. It's the last off-ramp, and there was no way to turn back until about 15 km later at the toll booth. We learned the hard way and lost 40mins! Hopefully Google fixes this bug soon.

I go there regularly for the onsen, since it's one of the few in the area. The outdoor bath has a lovely view of the valley.
